One Week Down, Three to Go . . .

We've been going to AVB therapy at the Kaufman Center in West Bloomfield for a week now. The drive hasn't been as bad as I was dreading. It goes pretty quickly, actually, and the gas prices are coming down! Grace has always been really good in the car and we have plenty of toddler tunes to keep us busy for an hour and a half! Our neighbor, Diana, went with us on Wednesday. Good company always makes the time pass quickly!

We've already seen progress with lots of new signing (of course - cookie, ice cream, train, swing, juice, all of the fun stuff!). Towards the end of the week Grace started to 'test' the therapists, but they are very patient and diligent! By the end of the session on Friday, I think everyone was glad we would have a two-day break! Here are a few pictures with Miss Amber in the gross motor skills room and 'working' at the table. Oh, and of course, the best part, the wall murals on the way to the work room (everybody loves Nemo!).

Hi Patty!
How scary about Grace's first day of school. Glad that it got all sorted out o.k. And sounds like she's making great progress at therapy too. It must help her so much to be able to communicate better. It was good seeing you on the e.b.'s. Have your friends been to China to pick up the baby yet?
We still have another 4-6 months before referral. I'm guessing now we won't get to China before April or May.
