Of course, we had lots of snuggle time in the 'big 'ol chair'
and then we were off to the Potawatomi Zoo in South Bend! such a nice zoo! mom got a little too close for comfort to this pink creature!
but the highlight of the visit was feeding the fish!
geez, were they hungry!
The lions were beautiful, but none too happy that the long-horned bulls were getting their lunch first!
These were my favorite little guys (or gals). They looked like their paws were cold or
they were doing the team spirit thing!
the red panda
and, of course, there's always the train ride! (one or the other of these two always has a cooky expression! i give up!)

While in South Bend, we stopped at a very nice quilt store, Ericas, and found some treasures! On the way home we found some freshly picked strawberries and Wednesday morning made two batches of strawberry jam!
Then we were back in the car and headed to Ossian to eat at the drive-in and go to the 'bakery' (one of Grace's favorite places in the world!). They weren't decorating cakes, but they did have lots of sweet things to choose from!
Won't be long now until Grace's 8th birthday and we'll get cake and ice cream and Grammaw will come see us!
