We've started the countdown of days until we leave for Hawai'i for Geoff's wedding (Gary's son). We leave out of Detroit Monday morning. Grace is staying home with Grams Wheeler. What a ride that will be for the two of them! Just a tad nervous about the whole trip, but we're going to do our best to enjoy the few short days we'll have in Kona. It will be nice to see Geoff and Abbey again and Gail and Bill (Gary's sister and her husband). Haven't seen them since we got married in 1999 in Jamaica!
We've also started the process to get Grace transitioned from preschool to Kindergarten. We have a few options and I was fortunate enough to get to see them yesterday. Grace's teacher, Kristin, and I spent time in each classroom. It's kind of started me thinking about what my next career might be. Going to look into some early childhood education classes at the University of Toledo and once Grace starts school full time, I may put my name on the list as a substitute para-professional (kind of like an assistant teacher). That's a whole year away, though!
Well, that's the exciting stuff! Oh, and Dana (Gary's employer) has pulled out of bankruptcy, thank goodness. Lots of new people running the place, so time will tell.
See you all when we get back from Hawai'i !!
