What a fantastic trip Gary and I had to Hawaii! Long flights, but we arrived safe and sound just in time to watch the sun set! We were able to keep in touch with Grams and Gracie through email, which was a great thing for these over-protective parents!Tuesday we started off with some power shopping and a really, really long walk! Wednesday we drove down to Geoff and Abbey's house that they built last year. Lots of hard work and decorating and it is beautiful! What a wonderful ocean breeze they have year round. On the way back we stopped at a Kona coffee shop and got some more of the 'real' stuff to bring home! The Luau was that evening with a large group of 35 friends and family! Geoff and Abbey were celebrants and got to spend some time on the stage!

Thursday we headed out for round two of shopping in the morning. Each afternoon we spent some time by the pool at the hotel. Saw the green turtles and some beautiful fish swimming just up to the hotel. That evening the wedding was in one of the local botanical gardens. What a wonderful setting for the traditional Hawaiian wedding at sunset! And everyone enjoyed a meal together. We got to spend lots of time visiting with Gail and Bill (Gary's sister and her husband) both at the luau and the wedding.
Friday morning we went for another long walk and spent some time by the pool, got everything packed up, and headed for the airport at 11:30a.
We arrived home Saturday in time for lunch and had fun watching Grace enjoy the goodies that we brought her. The grass skirt and ukulele were a hit! And Grams got some chocolate covered macadamia nuts and a gecko to put in her garden!I've put together a slide show with a few of the 203 pictures I took in the 4 days we were gone! A lot of the additional pictures are here in no particular order.
If you can't see the slide show below (after clicking on 'play' in the middle of the frame), you can see it here
