We've really been enjoying our fall weekends (that have been not so 'fall-like' weather - in the upper 80's). Last weekend (Sept 30th) we had a really nice visit just down the river from our house to a Native American Pow-Wow! We had learned about it from Grace's preschool teacher and it was a really nice outing. Grace was entranced by the music that Arvel Bird was playing. We bought the Animal Totems CD and he autographed it for Grace! It is such beautiful and relaxing music. She also got to go in a real tee pee.
Yesterday (Oct 6) we had pancakes for breakfast. Grace really has the routine down. She now helps get all of the utensils out (the scoop that measures the batter) and the spatula (to turn them when they get brown), and helps stir and pour them onto the griddle!
Then we met our friends Sherri, Doug, and Andrea in Findlay for the Pumpkin Train ride! Such fun! We boarded the train and rode out to the 'pumpkin patch' and picked out our two pumpkins! (This is actually a great picture of Grace in the slide show as it isn't very often that she actually looks at me when I ask her to so I can take her picture.) After the train ride we went back into the building a looked at the model railroad. Grace loved it so much she had pulled up a chair! We had to bribe her with ice cream to get her away from there!
This morning we had our usual breakfast at McDonald's and did our weekly grocery shopping!
Hope you enjoy the slide show! So much easier than downloading the pictures into this blog!
If for some reason you can't view the slide show within this blog, here is the link
