Summer is just zooming by!

Can't believe it's the middle of July already! It's been an eventful summer so far for us! Hopes and dreams being fulfilled! Read on!

After school let out, we had a wonderful trip to Virginia and Gettysburg (link to pictures in previous post). We got Grace's home AVB program started up in late June. It's working out pretty good. Three times a week for two hours and the therapists that come to the house are really sweet and love to play!

We had a quiet 4th of July with the day spent in the pool and having a cookout for dinner!

The following weekend, we even spotted Daddy in the pool with Grace!

Grace's birthday was July 13th (a Friday) so she got all dressed up for school in her pretty outfit that Grams Wheeler made for her! She was primping in the mirror! Too cute twirling around looking at herself!

Grace and Courtney (her Clinician) hosted a Thomas the Train Birthday Party at school with brownies and rice krispie treats!

On Saturday we had our party at home with a Thomas Cake (made by Mommy!)

Courtney was here and Daddy and Grams Wheeler but Grams was taking pictures so she's not in any of them!

Special thanks to Courtney for becoming part of our extended family and working so diligently with Grace at school!

Grace is now saying lots and lots of words! When she first started, I was able to get some of them on video tape, but now they are coming so quickly, I can't catch them all. The neatest of all was Monday after her party when she was looking at the picture of herself with her cake and said 'cake - birthday'. Yay! Was that a two word sentence? Her sweet little voice is music to our ears!

Here's video of her earlier words!

Hope you're having a great summer, too! Stay tuned! More progress to come!
